When we receive a phone call from a home owner wanting to learn the value of their property, we ask questions about the home to give us an idea of what we can expect.
An appointment is made to meet the home owner and inspect the home. At this inspection, we take notes of any key features and the condition of the property, noting any extras that would add value to the home’s sale price, i.e. solar panels or a pool.
A comprehensive appraisal document is then compiled, showing what the home is worth in comparison to other homes of similar size, condition and features that have been sold or are currently on the market. We are then able to give the seller an indication of where we see the property priced in the current market.
Another appointment is then made to discuss the findings of the appraisal and create a plan for moving forward, whether that be listing the property for sale now or renovating the property for listing in the future.
The seller now has a factual document that can help them make an informed decision about the sale of their property.
